To commemorate its longest-running collection, TACCIA introduces a special numbered run of its venerable Staccato™ Collection—the TACCIA Staccato Special Edition™.

In 2006, we introduced the TACCIA Staccato™ Collection. Inspired by its musical namesake, we called on writers to "Make a mark on your words." Four years later, the Staccato™ Collection still stands as one of our prime offerings.

Building on the Staccato's strong design, we've commissioned a custom numbered polished band, created via a lost-wax process, to the Staccato's famed pointed crowns, comfortable build, and fluid clip. Three rich, swirling, bespoke resins were chosen to represent the Staccato SE™: Antique Mist, Blue Lagoon, and Painted Desert.

Only 100 pens per pattern will be released, and is available in fountain pen with our trademarked smooth stainless steel nib (in Fine, Medium, and Broad widths), and in rollerball.

The Premier Collection is TACCIA's newest luxury pen, generously sized and shaped from a solid rod of a distinctive mosaic resin.

Utilizing solid craftsmanship and a meticulous attention to detail, the Premier exudes style at every corner. Our new fluid clip and molded medallion is cast and silver-pressed. An intricate band, hand-crafted and relief-carved on all sides, completes the Premier's cap.

Each TACCIA Premier barrel is individually selected and precisely polished to achieve a sharp look and a buttery smooth feel. The TACCIA Premier also comes in its very own leather box, which also doubles as a pen and watch case.

The stunning Premier Collection is available in both fountain and rollerball, in Azure Currents, Olive Speckle, Amethyst Stripes (with an Onyx Black cap), and Vermilion Mosaic (finished with Rose Gold).

These were just released by Taccia and I was really impressed with this pen  and the color selections.  Even the black was impressive!  They are a very nice light weight and balance even with cap posted.  I love the fact that you can see the ink. They measure 6 1/2" Long posted and a nice full sized pen.  These come boxed with papers and converter.

The diameter of our Merit pen is about 14mm around the clear window and 15 mm at the bottom of the cap. The pen is about 142 mm long when it is closed and 170 mm (6 3/4 inches) with the cap posted.




Pen Review on Merit Collection Fountain Pen
My first color I selected was  the Teal color. I filled mine with Noodler's Navajo Turquoise and what a compliment to the pen. I rarely do not match colors of pens to my inks like many hard core collectors. This one had to be the exception and with the clear ink window I could not resist matching the ink to the pen. This color looks great in this pen. I just love the clear window to monitor my ink levels. The pen is full sized but light weight and I prefer to write with out the cap but it does ok with the cap posted too. Like a higher end pen the cap is twist off cap and I doubt it will come un capped in shirt pocket.  The German made steel nibs work very nicely and write very wet and smooth. This will make a great everyday user.
