If you like the Mont Blanc 149 and do not feel like spending more than 50 times the money this #159 may be for you! Jinhao continues to impress us with another really nice pen the #159. It may be the best so far with beautiful black lacquer over brass with all chrome accents. This hefty pen will surely impress with the bigger size that so many people prefer weighs 50G and is comfortable with a nice balance. The cap is a screw on type that easily removes with 3/4 a turn to open. Chrome clip that features a shield with the new Jinhao chariot imprint with the new logo that you hardly notice due to the impressiveness of this pen. The nibs are engraved Jinhao 18 KGP and considered a medium point that is said to be pretty darn smooth right out of the box. Our test model does not skip, a consistent ink flow and is very smooth. This comes with a removable converter or you can use International cartridges like Private Reserve, Diamine, J. Herbin or Pelikan. These measure 5-3/8" capped, 6-5/8" posted and 4-7/8" with out cap. Section radius is 1.4 cm near the threads, tapers to 1.0 cm by the trim ring. Sorry these do not come with a box but you can purchase on separately.

Writes and shaped like a garden hose April 6, 2013
Reviewer: Dave K
Just got my Jinhao 159. This is quite possibly the worst pen I've ever used, fountain or no.  It somehow simultaneously writes like a garden hose while still managing to skip!  Consistent starting problems too.

Tested with Noodler's Bulletproof Black, and couldn't be more disappointed.

This fountain pen is bang for the buck. I highly recommend this because it is huge and writes very smoothly. It doesn't skip and the flow of ink is sufficient. Buy this pen from this website and you'll be happy. Isellpens.com is an awesome website. 10 stars for you guys.

My new pen (Jinhao #159) February 12, 2013
Reviewer: Jan Frandsen
I recently purchased two Jinhao #159, and I absolutely love how it feel writing with the pen. I wish I would have been able to get them with a slightly finer medium nib (if that makes sense). The nib is just a little to wide for my style of writing, but I am making it work. So far, I have had no issues with the flow of the ink or leaking.
